Lately I have been obsessed with Ghee rice. It's a simple dish prepared with non-perishable ingredients and rudimentary flavours. It just has the essence of Indian species and clarified butter and doesn't even need side dish. If you see, preparing it surprisingly simple and sometimes I pat myself for inventing it. First thing first, how to prepare the authentic Ghee Rice; It's as easy as preparing rice plus species and Ghee. Step one, Heat up the pan/pressure cooker add Ghee, more Ghee. Add Cinnamon, Bay leaf, crushed Black pepper and salt. Fry'em for 2-3 minutes. Step 2, add rinsed-uncooked rice, add twice the water to rice. Step 3, let the rice cook. I tell you, it cooks well, really well. I prefer cooking in pressure cooker, it contains all the aromas and rice really soaks in all the goodness. Once cooked you can top it up with more Ghee.
