Art World

Last week I headed out to explore Mumbai. I found this particular street which caught my attention and certainly triggered  train  of thoughts.  Nothing famous about this street; no tourist, nor photographers or the attention from the jaywalkers. But here was the eclectic art that moved me. The walls of the streets were covered with infamous Graffiti art. I had to take a moment to appreciate the art, and the creativity put into.  Who are these artist? Are they getting paid? Art was actual beautifying the street. Isn't that the essence of civilization?  Since we are not robots, we need emotions and gratifications to make us feel real. Year after year, generations after generations we make sure all these emotions are properly fed, even with the changing dynamics of the brain. Ghee Rice

Lately I have been obsessed with Ghee rice. It's a simple dish prepared with non-perishable ingredients and rudimentary flavours. It just has the essence of Indian species and clarified butter and doesn't even need side dish. If you see, preparing it surprisingly simple and sometimes I pat myself for inventing it.  First thing first, how to prepare the authentic Ghee Rice; It's as easy as preparing rice plus species and Ghee. Step one, Heat up the pan/pressure cooker add Ghee, more Ghee. Add Cinnamon, Bay leaf, crushed Black pepper and salt. Fry'em for 2-3 minutes. Step 2, add rinsed-uncooked rice, add twice the water to rice.  Step 3, let the rice cook. I tell you, it cooks well, really well. I prefer cooking in pressure cooker, it contains all the aromas and rice really soaks in all the goodness. Once cooked you can top it up with more Ghee. Have you seen someone smile?
